This song holds a very special place in my heart. Overcoming trauma, let alone childhood trauma while leaving multiple toxic relationships, and somehow achieving closure during a pandemic is no easy feat. I wrote and recorded this over a very long period of undergoing vocal surgery, leaving multiple personal and professional relationships, and starting over in Nashville. It was a heavy process, but eventually I got through it. I hope this inspires anyone hurting to keep going and it's okay to ask for help! You are worth the battle!
